hello everybody. i'm new in this forum and i'm curious some if users here can help me out.
i use a Mackie CFX 12 Mixer and have the problem of audio disruption with it. It is on every channel. when i turn a some knobs there is the most time a sound like bitreducing on the outputs. by pressing the mute or 100hz lowcut button there are noise or the signal is lost with just little alaising noise. The problem comes and goes and today it was the most time by low frequencies. I have no idea what is the problem. what do you think about it?

Sounds like its old and dirty. Open it up, blow out the dust and put some fader lube on. They're not very well built mixers and that's what happens when they get old and dusty.

i've supposed something like that. i bought it used some time ago and dont used it much since i have it. I've never done something like that. Is there anything special to attend when i clean the mixer??? How i can open the front cover of the mixer is clear for me (tighten the screws, pull up the modulatorcaps and fadercaps) but inside, what is definitely to clean?
