X0x CV/Gate yes, sound no.

Weirdest thing happened to me the other day.
I was running through some tunes on my drum machine and x0xbox.
The first two came off with out a hitch. I select the next pattern on the drum machine(KPR-77) and the X0X (Technology Transplant from big city music). It starts and the CV from the X0X is definitely working. The little lights on the Dark Energy I have connected are all firing in time. But I am only faintly hearing the DE (which is looped through the X0X), and I am hearing no X0X.
I fiddled with the knobs and switches to be sure I hadnt bumped anything. Swapped to a different input on the mixer.
Still only getting a faint signal from the DE and nothing from the X0X but pitch and gate.
Anybody have more experience with troubleshooting the X0x?
At this point I'd rather not have to do an extensive repair. I've already got an MG1 and a Poly 61 that need some help.

I'm also kind of worried that I may have inadvertently fried something by splitting the pitch CV to route to the DE and an Atari Punk I built. I didn't use an active split or anything, just a tip top audio piggyback cable.

ps I did UTSF. Surprised I did not find more results for X0x and TT.

False alarm. Turns out I was bitten by the "too many cables dangle". Something managed to move the mix knob on the effectron to zero. In some strange parallel universe which exists in effectron particles this means the xox was cut out entirely but the Dark Energy (which loops through the X0X box) does come through, albeit with no bass.

I guess what I have learned here is that as with pedal boards, long signal chains of synths introduce multiple possible points of failure.
Still, worth it in the end.
It completely validates this arrangement when I can hit the "hold" button on the effectron and make an on the fly loop of whatever the X0x and DE are currently bleeping and blooping. Then crank the modulation knobs!

anyway...back to your regularly scheduled programing.

bloop morp.
