Electribe EM-1 Wont Save Pattern Sets :( Please Help

I have read the manual and I can't seem to figure out why when I assign (and WRITE) a series of patterns to the pattern set buttons, when I power the machine back on later, they are always reset to the factory patterns. The unit saves my patterns fine, and even my drum mappings and midi channel assignments. Any thoughts? Really need to get this going...

I can't remember how to do it on earlier electribes, but you have to save the pattern set. Like when you're holding it down, press write. Try that.
