Hi All,
I want to preface that this is a super beginner question.
I currently have a Sequential Circuits Six-Trak, Roland TB-707, and an Akai MPK25 midi controller. My DAW is Ableton Live 9. I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
Currently, I am using each of these for audio and recording into live (I use the akai for midi). I want to sync all of them up but have no idea where to start.
How would you recommend hooking everything up so i have everything working together?

Re: BEGINNER QUESTION - STUDIO/MIDI SET UP
Hello. The audio shouldn't be too complicated but if you want to record both the TR-707 and the Sixtrak simultaneously you need a mixer as the Focusrite only has two audio input channels. For Midi you will of course have to use the Akai MPK 25. I don't have one myself but you will probably find this guide useful:

The most important thing to remember appears to be that the MPK works like a midi interface when connected through USB (i.e. sends midi from the computer on MIDI OUT) and when not connected works as a standard midi keyboard (i.e. sends whatever you're playing on its controls on MIDI OUT). It's seems fairly logical really as long as you're aware that there are two MIDI OUTs available when USB connected, one reserved for the MPK itself (used for sysex/updates) and one that actually goes to the MIDI OUT.
As for MIDI in; when connected, there are three MIDI INs available, two for the MPK controls and one for whatever the MPK is receiving on its MIDI IN port.
You can of course then daisy-chain the MIDI out from the MPK to both the Sixtrak and the TR-707. That is - you don't need two MIDI outputs, just keep them on different channels. I hope this helps, regards.
