iPad Air and Midi question

Post by rob_lee » Sat Feb 15, 2014 8:56 pm

Hi all,

Well yesterday i decided to buy a 32gb iPad air and today i installed a paid for app called "KORG GADGET" jeez i never had so much fun on the couch in years hehe. I know it's just an app BUT wow the synths included rock. I exported a few loops direct from my iPad to the drop box on my mac and imported in to Logic X and wow lol. Anyways iv'e got a problem it's a pain using the screen to play notes and I've sen people just hooking them up to midi. I tried that but my lightening to usb cable doesn't fit lol am i missing something?

PS

Go easy this is my first iPad so i don't really know what i'm doing hehe but any advice welcome. Seems this could be a good hardware controller to for certain tasks.

KORG GADGET

Cheers

Rob

You need a specific midi interface thingie for the ipad. There is one called iRig available in most apple stores. There's also a camera interface cable that does the same function.
