AKAI EWI3020m: VCA issue? Service Manual?

In case you are not familiar with this module, it is a CEM based mono synth, CEM 3374 and CEM3378, designed to be used with an Akai wind controller. It also has midi.

I purchased it untested (without a wind controller). It needs a new battery, but seems to otherwise function with the problem noted below). I'm pretty excited as it sounds good.

The one issue is that the VCA does not fully close. As the VCA will open and close with the EG, I don't think that the chip is bad, but that the DAC is not properly calibrated. Any thoughts?

Anyone have a service manual?

Although no one seems particularly interested . . . .

I obtained the service manual and adjusted the DAC offset, which fixed the problem.

I now have the service manual should anyone need a copy.

BTW: This is a great sounding synth! It sounds huge.
