Hi, I am about to get hold of a used TR-707 that works fine, but has a couple of cracks in the plastic.
I haven't seen it in the flesh yet, but, it sounds like someone stood on it or dropped something on it.
Looking online, I couldn't find any information on anyone repairing the plastic on synths or drum machines with cracks.
Does anyone have any experience?
I read there are different types of plastic that respond differently to glues etc., in that they will not take to them or they will.
Here is a video of a repair of some cracked plastic from a bike part.
I am hoping I can do something similar with the 707???

Re: Repair cracked plastic on TR-707?
I have a dead 707. Why not just buy its shell from me for $100?

Re: Repair cracked plastic on TR-707?
Thanks for the response.
I got hold of the 707, but the 'crack' is not deep and does not effect the underside of the plastic nor the running of the machine.
So, I will leave it as it is.
Why not fix your one up or have it fixed?
