Hi all,
This is not a your typical hunt for Emulator or Emax sounds,
I just would like to recreate the kind of EP sound used for the solo on this song after the second chorus
This sound is very strange to my ears and can't figure out the attack portion. I pretty much match the core sound with a korg dw8000 vst , i know there should be some kind of analog pad layered to fatten it up but something is missing...
I will post an mp3 example of my progress atm soon but if someone could come with an idea, not the traditionnal " this is all E-mu filter bla bla bla...." since before sampling the sound, they come from one of their numerous synths.
Thanks a lot
PS: it has a similar sound to A question of lust solo sound , maybe something with a square wave as it goes " dooooo" ^^

I'm not sure I can hear an EP sound. Are you referring to the sound that goes C - D - Eb - Bb - Bb - G - Bb - G? I do this song with my band and I use a JP8-style brass patch with a slight upwards ENV pitch bend on the attack portion. Not sure that's the sound you're referring to though.

Hi,
I am not referring to the brass sound but the kind of crystal/malletish thing that comes in before the brass is layered .
here is my temporary rendition :

I see what you mean. I use a bell patch from the Fantom for this.

That sound is not a synth or EP.... it's a guitar.

@ Baus : are you sure mate ? definitely sounds like a synthy sound, far from the guitar sound that goes all along the song. I set the youtube timer to show you the exact sound i am talking about as it appears only at that moment in the song. Any suggestion concerning the attack portion ?
