Quasimidi 309 I/O problem

Anyone know about these drum machines?? The machine appears to function properly except for no audio in or out including headphones. Just purchased and given the difficulty in finding support, thinking the smart move might be to return it. Hoping that there is an easy fix.

Did you try to reset the unit ? (power on whilst holding down Write/Dump)

I re-initialized and still no response through outputs 1&2. No Master volume, headphones or FX. I was able to assign instruments to 3&4 and get dry output. Levels controlled only per instrument, again no master volume. Otherwise it's fine.

Could it be that the unit was bumped during shipping and the audio expansion cable needs resiting ?
Have you tried removing the expansion ?

Checked all of the cables. I did chat with a guy who has owned a few 309's and recognized the problem. He thinks it is likely to be a blown MAX1044 chip which can happen when the audio expansion gets plugged into the wrong connector on the main board. Needless to say it's not worth it for me to do the repair so I will return the box to the seller.
