I like it.

Been to NASA's site to grab any samples?
Maybe you can help with a question that's been buggin' me.
How come the real sounds from space as recorded by various probes, sound like what we imagined they would? How did we know?

As far as I know, they don't - we re-pitch and otherwise apply effects to make them audible, or we just render those signals on solund generators that we already know {cue sample and hold bit}.
Yours,
Niall.

Space Sounds

Post by ASNAZZY » Fri Feb 01, 2008 2:36 am

I have listened to NASA's recorded space sounds from other planets such as Mars surface. It does sound like I would expect it too. It is tempting to use these sounds in a song but I really don't feel right about using NASA's stuff. I really stick too Roalty free samples or ones that I create on my own  I am not real happy with the sales yet on my album "Space Voyageur" there is something missing on that album.... not sure what the problem is though  I will contiune to promote it for a while then start thinking about producing a 2nd Space music album with a differant approach. I am open to suggestions right now. Also, does anyone know what it takes to get airplay on Soma FM?? I really would like to get some songs played on that Internet Radio station. Might need to donate some money to them 1st  ?? I noticed they play alot of Steve Roach on Drone Zone and Space Station.

No worries there... any audio released by NASA is in the public domain.
Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!
