This is too cool! As soon as the drums kicked in, I immediately remembered the theme song for Miami Vice(I even had the soundtrack on cassette
) Yea the claps remind me of 80's rap.
The only difference I'm getting between this track and the music of the 80's is that yours actually has some bass to it. Its not that coked out, crystalline, and high end rich + reverb sound thats associated with the 80's.

sounds a bit like some of kavinskys mellower tracks
mind you he's on one h**l of a retro trip
