Casio RZ-1 doing Biggie - Hypnotize beat

Post by Sir Ruff » Fri May 16, 2008 3:26 am

Title says it all... I recorded some bass (via mic'd guitar amp) and the guitar stab into the RZ-1, and the rest are it's own samples (with a little bit of delay on clap)... Rz-1s accent/normal/mute volume options give the guitar "delay" a little more dynamics

Of course the original sample is from Herb Alpert - Rise... this ain't quite the same, but I think it's still pretty funky given it's an RZ-1! :toothy10:

I never liked the kick on the RZ, but used the hats/clap/ride all the time... wish I hadn't sold mine now. Anyway, nice loop.

yeah, the kick is not great... very clicky like the tr-707. I eq'd it seperately to tone it down.

(now I'm thinking I need to add the guitar stab at the beginning of the loop... I have one pad left  )
