"Mnemiopsis" Minimal Acid w/Acidlab Bassline

had a blast jamming up this little strange acid-like track today
unpacked the ESX and synced up my new Acidlab Bassline 1, and started up a couple patterns, this is my first jam with the two.
I was having an aim at the plastikman/richie hawtin style again, and I find the ESX to have a very good FX engine for this type of music I really like this one a lot better than my last effort (Kardiak if anyone remembers)

the bassline is sent through the ESX for some FX, and I just recorded the output of the ESX to Reaper.

the track ended up lasting a little longer than intended, but that's the nature of jamming, right?
full of little mistakes, and my headphones are f**k up, so the bass-frequenzies are a little off at times, so I did some very basic subtractive EQ'ing to take out some bass. other than that, no external fx or editing was done.

oh, and my tracks are still a little low in amplitude, so turn it up

Nice. I love the reverb-ness of the track, and when it starts to speed up again it gets nicely busy. If you know what i mean.
ps. the acidlab sounds sweeet.

i see you used 707 & 808 rimshot samples as well as other drum samples in the ESX.

I'm pretty much decided on selling my stuff to finance a machinedrum, and if I get enough work hours this autumn, I'll go for the monomachine as well, completing my dream set-up

I'll try to re-record a couple songs I've made and include the bassline if possible. I made some really mean and dark acid with my electribes only, and I think the acid line from the EA will sound absolutely perfect with the acidlab
