Beethoven's Fifth - FM8

Post by CS_TBL » Fri Apr 10, 2009 2:04 am

Grabbed a random Beethoven's Fifth midifile from the web and routed each track to an FM8 instance with a voice from my own library. The voices are:
flute
oboe
clarinet
bassoon
French horn
trumpet
timpani
pad (strings)
pad (strings)

2 different pad instruments, layered. 'Real' strings are tough, if not impossible to recreate with FM. So these here mainly sound well in the high notes (5:05 and on). Take a notion of the oboe at 03:53!

2 FM8fx instances were used for global effects.
"You know I love you, CS, but this is bullshit." (Automatic Gainsay)

Sounding pretty good there... I see what you mean about the strings, but that oboe is particularly nice.
