I made a little track with the EMAX library samples, might as well post it here too. Very rough though and I will probably redo it later.

I can't get this to play, just states 'buffering' and doesn't change (despite having a fast broadband connection). :(

It does that to me sometimes too, but if I press F5 / refresh it loads fine.

OK... now some success !

Some good 80's sounds in there, are you playing on an Emax or have you converted them with EMXP to use on something else? I've not had great results converting them to EII banks so far.

I wish! An Emax would be nice! I converted them to SoundFont, loaded and sequenced them in Presonus Studio One, with its virtual sampler "Presence". I have not tried EII format myself, but I have successfully converted them to EIII, SF2 and extracted WAVs. I wish I could convert them to e3x and load them in my ESI. Akai bank conversion did not work for me.

Interesting, had wondered whether to convert to Akai S1000>ESI formats, I won't bother trying now. Half of the EII conversions didn't work (due to its own limitations) and those that did, several were useless or not sounding at all. Anyway, nice track, liked the sounds, far better than the ones I got !

Thanks for the compliment, but I still wish I could get my music to sound half as good as yours. You have an excellent quality to your tracks! Due to some financial issues I had to sell some recording gear, so now I'm stuck with pc recording and mixdown via "Realtek HD-audio". Not the best solution, and to me everything sounds c**p. Have to get a good professional soundcard soon.

Well actually that one was very different from the JMP melodic track. Is amazing how this senior old sampler handlles the samples. The sound is so different from the modern ones. You guys give a good name to the EMU E series

Thanks both. I don't have high end gear for recording. Simply the E2 (& synths) running through a Behringer(!) mixer & denoiser into a Terratec DMX Fire sound card and Cubase SE, all fairly old or low cost gear really. :|

Still fancy an Emax at some stage for comparison to the E2, could probably make better use of those samples then.
