Prodigy Experience album style test...

Post by kraku » Tue Aug 31, 2010 7:06 pm

I decided to try if I could copy the style and mood from Prodigy's Experience album:

a quick and short prodigy style test...

All feedback is welcome :)

Way too clean - and the Prodigy used chords from other tracks, not synth-based ones.

Also, put the percussion in mono and crank up the bass :). Pretty much all of the "Experience" album comes from a W30.

use beefy sounding samples (hoover type sounds)
go for darker, stranger chords and notes,
add some sped up voice samples,
build up the tracks with added percussion,
mix a few different break-beats in,
,,,and dont forget the bass hehe

sounds good, keep at it :D

I like it a lot. It's not exactly Prodigy, but that's not the point... I don't mind. It's good on it's own style merit. Please post up the completed tune when you can. I like it.
