This... made with my newly resurrected Prophet 600
This is my first post to the listening lounge (I think), in celebration of the Prophet 600 that I finally brought back to life yesterday, after not having had the guts to deal with its seemingly fragile construction for a very long time.
Drums: Ultrabeat - studio brush kit. Step sequenced, bit-crushed, overdriven and compressed.
Synth: Prophet 600 - all other sounds, except the bass starting @ 0:04 which is a basic Logic monosynth sawtooth patch.
Comments are very welcome. : )

That sounds class! That patch that comes in at 0:23 is so nice. Interested to know how much of the sounds are P600-specific? Bit of a greenhorn here

Thanks!
A lot a the character of the 0:23 patch comes from processing. Here's a demo of how I treated the sound in four steps;
- 0:00 dry sound from P600
- 0:20 EQ'ing out frequencies below about 500Hz, and raising a small amount at 6.3kHz
- 0:40 adding overdrive
- 1:00 dubbing same sound with slighty different portamento/glide settings, then panning one track slighty left and the other slightly right:
You can get similar sounds with other synths. But the Prophet 600 has a rusty/metal-ish character to its tone, which I think can be heard from the outro parts here:

Wow, thanks for that illustration! Really cool to hear that patch on its own, sounds great too.
