Re: Teisco SX-400 sound demo
I have to admit I lauged when Axel-F started playing. Great demo again!
What's the melody that comes in @ 28 seconds? I definitely know it, just driving me mad trying to remember where it's from.
Love the bass patch at the beginning. The kickdrum is brilliant too (edit: oops, just saw the kick came from an Oberheim. Still cool.)

I don't like the drums, but the drums like me!

Another nice demo with another rare Teisco. It sounds great that SX-400. Let me know if you plan to sell it!

Re: Teisco SX-400 sound demo
LOL
Yes, its Jan Hammer, Crocket's Theme. I thought I'd use the best tracks from the 80's to demo this beast of the 80's.
@antilles: They are pretty rare, especially since they have that NiCad that eats up the main PCB... Mine had battery issues that (I hope) I have cured, but still I only can save on 6 of the 8 memory patches, so there's still some issues I'm afraid...
So finding one in 100% working order is extremely hard I would say, and if you do - check that main computer PCB so it doesn't look like a Gorgonzola. But its a great synth, in function it is very similar to the JP4. But I haven't compared them side by side so I can't comment on wether they sound alike as well.
If you find one - buy it fast!
PS: And no, mine is not for sale...
