Are you having your hopes up for 2026? Well, I somewhat do, as the ending of the past year didn't sit well with me. Great to be back. Thank you for taking your time and staying true to syndae for 2025. And let's look forward to what the new version of the annual countdown brings. This is not only the first show for 2026 but also a first after some weeks of time off. On this edition you will get a bunch of tracks ringing my current emotional bell. Cool and new stuff, of course. I really hope you enjoy the sound as much as I do. Pick the player of your choice and join me for great tracks by Sine (Haven), Thomas Lemmer & Sinatic (Shifting Sands), Parallel Worlds (Transformation), Arlo Caldwell (Follow Your Sound), Elsehow (Afterimage - IE), Icing Wolf (Crossroads), Ginkgo Garden (Promise of Light), Christoph Sebastian Pabst (Waiting for you), Michael Brückner (A Sequence of Colours), Dan Terminus (Noir), Dean Burnett (Autumns Falls), Talking to Ghosts (Freeleaf).

Whoa, what a great welcome back you gave me. Very much motivating to continue immediately with another compilation of fine electronic music, where this time we delve into the traditional and space ambient realm of our beloved genre. Very fitting, as I recently stumbled over quite a number of videos from live concerts, e.g. by TD, JMJ, and KS (you know who). The guests on this edition may not be that famous, but their songs are fresh and awesom takes on those styles. Be so kind and join me for music by Ambient Indigo (Entropy of Colour), Andy Pickford (Expurgations Vol 3), Harp & Arp (Soul Of the Machine), Synth replicants (Tears In The Rain), Rudi Melchert (schallplatte 28), Tabilonder (Lyra), Michael Brückner (In My Room).

It have been some rocky past weeks with all the stuff happening around me and even more so around the world. One of the anchors keeping me grounded of course is my passion for electronic music. Another is, of course, my wife and her wonderful photos that I currently use for the show. Tonight's edition is quite a reflection of the other side my mind, after the rather calming one of the past two editions, here come some moments of turmoil. Enjoy the beats with tracks by Uchylak (Zimna Gmina), BNRT (Gremlins), Lunaar ft. Leandra (Messages from Space (Refurbished 25th Anniversary Edition)), Clannad vs Red Sun Rising (The Remixes), Sterling Angel (Dangerous Gift), NOERRF (Tabuguer), Sternenspringer (The Deep Space), LFO Juice (Sample Pack Challenge), Marie Wilhelmine Anders (Fire Remixes).

Currently, my weeks are packed with appointments. With all the traveling around, it is great to have some time to enjoy the silence, well, yeah, also Depeche Mode, but here I mean to get some rest and peace. What better to accompany this quantum of quiet than by treating my ears and brain with ambient sounds and compositions? Ok, it's not silencce after all, but it relocates my thinking in different directions. Great stuff to bend your mind is waiting for you in this edition with fresh aural stories by Stefan Erbe (the enemy inside), Boy of Sleep (Silent Orbit), Grant Beasley (Eigenwelt), Cousin Silas & the Glove of Bones (Petrichor In Abundance), applecore (contact at the deep bottom), Steve Roach / SoRIAH (Curandero), Reichenhall (Motormorla), Adeptus Mechanicus (One world Compilation).

With all the crazy stuff going about in the world, which seems to spin faster and more unpredictable each day, I definitely need some space to chill and relax tonight. But I cannot take ambient tonight, as I surely need some beats to match my head banging on the desk and wall listening to the news. Btw., the Schallwelle award ceremonies are up in three weeks. If you can make it, take your time to visit this cozy event with lots of nice and well known guests and musicians. A safe space with friends and more aside from all the madness. I'll have more on the event next week. For now, join e to listen to fun stuff with tracks by Lunaar (Messages from Space), C37 (Your Tears), Collagist (Mabapa), ReKaB (Signal 25), Sternenspringer (The Deep Space), Tauon ft. Sine (Nachthimmel), Tauon & Gaia de Isora (Echeyde), Etno Grupa Trag vs Red Sun Rising (The Remixes), autonomaton (The December Solstice 2025), Madison George ft. Sean O'Bryan Smith (Macrocosm), Smooth Genestar (As if music would not be a message).

It's awards season. Recently there were the Grammys, soon you will have the Oscars. In between, one of the most precious awards is given in an excellent ceremony held in Schwerte on February 21st: the Schallwelle for electronic music. If you can make it, come over to a beautiful and friendly event. Check out the link below on more information. Now, this edition's focus clearly is on the ceremony taking place or rather its music, featuring the receiver of the lifetime award for achievements in electronic music, teasers for the concerts given in between the award hand-overs, and finally music by all the nominees for the award of (re-)discovered artists. There is no excuse to join me tonight, so take a seat and listen to excellent music by POND (Bilder einer Ausstellung und die größten Erfolge & POND (Planetenwind 2), KelMen (Results), Frank Tischer (Circumpolar), Rike & Erik (Transit), Gäbhard (Gravity Live), GotamaX (Schallplatte 28), Grant Beasley (Eigenwelt), Krzysztof Kurkowski (Synthesizer Stories), NoRinTon ft. Patros15 (Leviathan), Nostalgic EXpanse (The Edges of Electronic Music Vol 8).

Is it Spring already? Nope, not quite. But the longing for Spring is there. At least where I live. Less darkness, more colours, happier people. And nature seems to be in the waiting as well, as some early blossoms are already out there and birds are singing along nicely. So, while we are moving forward and are eager to leave winter season, I have some beautiful tunes for you on the playlist tonight. One might call it Easy Listening or New Age, but they all feature one common theme: they are georgous. Join me for a mere 60 minutes to enjoy wonderful tracks by Kellerkind Berlin (Well... it's Hope), Jim "Kimo" West & Michael Whalen (Two Shores), Sine (Closure), C37 (The reality is...), Ambient Ballroom (Silk Road Stations), Steen Chorchendorff Jorgensen (Within Gravity), Quiet Resonance (Pathways), Tom Bragl (Pielesh), The Bentley Project (Blossoming of Ancient Beauty), Jonny Lipford (Discover The Warrior Within), Matthias Lehmann (Autumn Rhapsody).

It's been more than 20 years ago now that I've been living in Berlin. And while I seldom look or go back physically, maybe for a short visit now and then, I often do so in my mind. Especially, when listening to music from the Golden Age of EM, where many of the artists being in synthesized sounds "went" to its School. There are still several artists from the old guard out there, some still producing new music. But many of the space ambient style music nowadays comes from a younger folks. And their take on Berlin style sounds, while surely referencing the ideas of the past, are fresh and current and also timeless. Join me for a mental visit to Berlin with great music by NGC 224 (Mystic Forests), Novaexperiment (Quantum Pulse), Craig Padilla & Marvin Allen (Unfolding Skies), Joerg Dankert (Back to Berlin), Paul Ellis (Room Of The Lost One), IcingWolf (Crossroads), Ivan Black (Black 3), Small Chief (Zero Movement).

So, it's been two weeks since the Schallwelle awards have been handed to the respective winners. Tonight you will get music by (nearly) all of those proud winners in the first part of the show. Hip, hip, hooray. And in the second half of this edition you will get brand new music by more great artists, who might turn out to be the winners of awards to come. One never knows. At least, they serve excellent fresh music which fits into the early days of March, where birds are out, blossoms in sight, and trees starting to bloom. Quite a diverse bunch of styles to be heard tonight with music by Stefan Erbe (the enemy inside), Tectonia (Luna (The Moon)), Peter Mergener (Chip Meditation 2025), Árstraumur (Aurora), Martin Stürtzer (Closer to Home), Ralph Kwappenberg (Dutch Electronic Masters VII), DEE-KEY (Wild Flowers), Joao Ceser (BRIANZA), Planet Boelex (Twenty), Yakuza Jacuzzi (Wabi-Sabi)
