Re: Midi connecting
I assume you are trying to control the JU06 from the Microbrute.
MicroBrute MIDI out to JU06 MIDI in.
Make sure they are both set to the same MIDI channel (1-16).

Please tell us more about what you are trying to do and how you are connecting the two units.Gum wrote:I never get the results I want. What am I doing wrong.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.
Re: Midi connecting
The Arturia Microbrute does not have a midi out, and only has a midi in, and the results I'm looking for, are the two synthesizers synced up, and producing sound together. I'm still pretty new to synthesizers and I'm not quite sure if this works, but I'd like to know if it's truly possible. Are the expectations I have for connecting the synths possible? If so please let me know.

Re: Midi connecting
When you write "synched up" do you mean:
1. Having a sequence running on each synth in time synchronization
2. Playing the same note on both synths at the same time
Do you have a keyboard other than the microBrute?
What's your budget for more gear?

Re: Midi connecting
Well actually, is it possible to use the ju-06 as a sequencer for the Arturia Microbrute? Anyway, when I say synced up I mean, "having s sequence running on each synth in time synchronization." And my budget is around 200$, but I do not have another keyboard besides the Arturia and Roland.

Re: Midi connecting
You must connect the JU06’s MIDI Out to the Arturia’s MIDI In but I’m sure you knew this already.
The JU06 must be set as the clock source (master):
https://www.roland.com/us/support/knowl ... 218347863/
and the MicroBrute must be set as ‘slave’ (Int or Auto):
https://www.arturia.com/faq/microbrute/ ... -explained
I’m guessing that you should set the two devices to different channels, as I suspect the JU’s sequencer outputs notes through MIDI. Somebody please correct me if I’m wrong. I used to have a JP08 but can’t remember how the sequencer behaved MIDI-wise.

Re: Midi connecting
Okay, so I know this might sound bad, but keep in mind I am a beginner. Exactly how do set the clock source and slave function?
Re: Midi connecting
Alright, great and thank you for all your help I got the two connected as I wanted.
