Transferring Patches!

Hi everyone,

I'm just new to this place, so take it easy on me haha!

Anyways, I just wanted to ask a quick question. I've been messing about on my synths for a few months now, I ain't ready to record yet though - I'll save those questions for another time. But what I did want to ask is - How do I transfer downloaded patches from the computer to synth? I assume it'll be quite easy. My current sound card doesn't have any MIDI slots, so would I be needing a MIDI Interface to do the transferring? I have Patches for the Roland JP-8000 and Novation K-Station that I'd like to transfer.
