Stopped in at the pawnshop and see that they have remodeled, and what is that under the table? a S612 and a MD280 bolted together behind the ears. i plug it in, it lights up, it even loads the mini disk in the MD. of course, they dont have a midi cable to test it. normal music guy is out of town, so his less rip off prone fill in agress to let me take the whole mass for 75.
got home and it works great. gotta love the filters and converters on this thing. first thing i used it for was as an outboard for running some of my drum machines too. playing with loop points in real time (though you can do it on the emax too) was nice as well.
any more tips? i have heard of people dumping samples via midi, but i would imagine that would involve samplewrench or someother program.
so now i have an akai sampler
