Should I get my X-Station fixed?

Post by sustain » Mon Oct 22, 2007 12:41 pm

I think it's still under warranty. I have two problems, but I don't really want to take it out of my room for it to get fixed.

1. The LFO knob (either 1 or 2 as it is one knob with toggle) seems to randomly select and stutter different values of RATE. It gets annoying occasionally, but sometimes it manages to keep still. This is without sync.

2. Sometimes either between switching patches or changing multiple parameters/values another value will randomly be set to a specific value. For example, I change the values of Filter and Drive, and then I might switch patches. I play the keyboard, about three or four seconds later I notice that the filter cutoff has just been changed.

So do you think it's worth taking back - would these kinds of things be fixed well??

I used to have strange issue with my X, similar to points no:2. But finally I realized that it was just because of the hyper sensitive x-y pad that turns value as if it was being touched. Since I'm aware about this and put extra notice for the area around the pad, everything is under control now.

Thanks for the tip. The thing is, sometimes it's parameters that aren't even set to the pad!
