New Patch Cables

Post by danny » Tue Oct 23, 2007 3:51 pm

I'm going to buy some new patch cables this morning for my Moog 12. Since the technology is old should I buy the best new patch cables ,want kind, and will I hear a difference?

I'm also changing out the cable between the keyboard and the main unit of the Moog 12. Does the cable length matter, size of the wire, type of wire, etc.???

Thanks, danny

Cable quality and sturdyness matters in the first place. You don't want something that breaks apart after patching 10 times or so.

Also, this should probably go here: http://www.vintagesynth.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=5

but you already opened a topic there. I'm not a moderator, but this is not what you should do on a forum; it's recommendable to keep things in their own, single threads. No need to let people answer the same question twice.
