ASR-10 Playback problems.

Post by desultoryfunk » Fri Dec 14, 2007 5:58 am

Hello everyone! First post and new to the forum. :D

I'm having problems with the playback on my ASR-10 keyboard... Whenever I playback a sample, the volume or output seems a bit low. I've tried turning on the boost and it does help but does not sound nearly as loud as I want it too. I fear that my output circuit could be damaged. :( Weird thing is, is when I'm monitoring the recording vinyl in the asr10, it sounds fine... but like I mentioned, once I play it back it sounds so quiet.

Any suggestions?

It's been a decade since I was hands on with asr10 but yes, it would drop the volume when you sampled.. There was a setting that you enable that would cause it to sample, then reprocess.
God I remember this, and I can't remember what the setting is..
??auto-normalize??
I think. Don't hold me on it, but I'm pretty sure it was something like that.

ASR-10's are awesome samplers, I wish I had one. The ASRx is a poor substitute for overall processing power.

Is this box new to you?
