Yamaha DX-11 power supply

Post by dalecarlica » Fri Dec 28, 2007 8:45 pm

I recently got a VERY nice DX-11 from the states, only to find that it runs on 120V and not 220V (which is the case in South Africa). Stupid of me I know!
Having read all the posts re: external step-down transformers, I just wondered whether anybody in Europe would be kind enough to open their DX-11 up(3min!) and take a pic of their transformer, so I could see what mine lacks. Surely there MUST be a way to modify the power-board to run off a higher voltage???

A picture won't do no good. The transformer will look about the same: a metal box.

I sent you the power supply scan. Your tech should be able to take it from there and solve your problem.
