I've posted this question on another site but didn't really get anywhere

I have a Yamaha Rm1x, I like it, I like the sounds...not too keen on the manual but I've figured most of it out.

Anyway can anyone tell me if the An1X is basically an RM1x with a keyboard

No it's not, it's an analogue modelling synth.

The Cs1x is a rompler and has no sequencer. You do realize that you can just plug any midi keyboard into the rm1x right?

The RM1x uses the CS1x synth engine.

they share the same engine, but a bit different sound set. the RM1x has 32Mbit (which supposed to be the equivalent of 4 MB) Rom size, while the CS1x has 4.5 MB and a performance mode to layer up to 4 voices.
