New stylphone - good or bad?

Post by polardark » Wed Jan 30, 2008 3:48 pm

Has anyone tried the new production "original" stylophone? I remember reading some reviews casting the sound and build quality of these new devices in doubt. Does anyone have the new production stylophones and can tell a little bit more about it?

I've had one of the new ones for a couple of months now. It's very light and build quality is not the best, nothing to worry about though as it's a cheap toy and I'm sure it'll do fine as long as it's not abused.
Never played one of the original old Stylophones so I can't compare the two, but I was actually expecting (and hoping for) more crackling and static noise.
It's a fun and quite versatile toy for what it is. Go for it.

I think the new Stylophone is great. Its cheaply made but is capable of a few powerful noises and sounds. I got sent a second Stylophone for free (don't know why) so i play my Stylophones duophonically with a stylus in each hand. A cool little toy.

Funny. I ordered two and got only one. Not kidding.

A new Stylophone? Crikey, whatever will they think of next.

I have the original; mine's from the 60s. A fun thing to have, but erm well, I won't be doing any more awesome solos with it.
