SH-101 filter problem

Post by craggno » Sun Apr 06, 2008 3:59 pm

It appears that the filter is not working....it is behaving like the filter cutoff is having no effect. I suspect the IR3109 chip is dead (although I don't have the ability to test this per se) everything else is working fine. Does anyone know where someone could buy a replacement filter? Thanks for your help. I have searched all over the internet and am beginning to panic a little.

Thanks

Check your slider. I think if the filter chip was dead you would hear nothing at all since the signal is hardwired through that chip.

Try to crank up the resonance and/or use a negative envelope and see if you can get the cutoff to change.

Just check the slider and it's not that often those chips fail.
