Crumar peformer Leaking note.

Post by Roland » Mon Apr 28, 2008 1:19 pm

What could be the likely cause of a leaking note on a crumar performer?

When i playand hold chords on the synth with the sustain fully open then after a while an A below middle C begins creeping in.

It does not come in on full volume just creeps in ever so slightly.

I thought it might be the tantalum cap connected to one of the TDA 1008 so i changed it but no improvement?

I also tried swapping the TDA´s around to see if the fault would follow the IC but it did not .

When i measure the voltage from the buss bar at the diode of the offending note i can see the voltage slowly rising to about 2 volts and then i start hearing the note....?

Any good ideas? What to try next ?
