I regretably had to sell some of my equipment to a local band to cover some hospital expenses, but I did trade for a new Micro Korg lol. I traded a 30 dollar sustain pedal for it lol the gent was a guitarist not a synth player lol.

Well... you either bought it from some sketchy dude on the street...cowatf wrote:Moog Voyager for 100 pounds ($200 or so)..still don't really know how I got away with that one..
or the previous owner has some major math dyslexia...
Either way... someone lost out big time...

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
IN the early 90's, I used to scour pawn shops for gear and resell them by postings ads in NY Times, Chicago Tribune & LA Recycler. I used to find 303's for $50 - $100 and resell them for $400, 808's & 909's for $100 - $200 and resell for $400 - $500.
I bought my 1st MemoryMoog for $200 at a pawn shop back in '91, which I later traded for a JP-8 and then traded for an OB-8 with MIDI which I later had to sell due to financial reasons.
I bought my red SH-101 for $20, but it had the leaked battery syndrome. I later found a grey 101 and put its innards in the red one, sold the mod grip and kept the keys (which I sell for $5 each) and slider caps (not for sale).
Recent deals:
2 Juno 60's ($200 & $250), TR-626: $20, Eminent Solina Organ: $25, Yamaha CP-80: $400, Super BassStation: $150

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
Starkey Hearing Science Laboratory - $20 at a surplus auction.
Korg MS-20 - $450 (two years ago).
Moog MG-1 - $100 (but it was full of cat hair).
Deals I will always kick myself for not picking up:
$100 Jen SX-2000
$175 Red SH-101
$350 Octave Cat
$600 OB-XA

I resold the nicer one ($250). Keeping the other. You should have seen how dirty the inside of the other one was!RobotHeroes wrote:What!?! You bought them both? Saving the better one of the two to sell to me right?Z wrote:Recent deals:

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
But it worked? I have a vacuum *vroom vroom*. So you had 3? I remember you were selling one for a million dollars, or was that the nice one? I missed one for 275 and was second to reply to one for 300, when I had the cash.Z wrote:I resold the nicer one ($250). Keeping the other.
