AN1X backlight/display?

Post by gordwiebe » Sat Jun 21, 2008 1:18 pm

I believe on the AN1X that these were never that bright to begin with... but, I believe mine is just about gone. I'd love to replace it (even with a different colour scheme if that were possible - white on blue would be sexy).
Has anybody had any experience in replacing or upgrading the display? Are the parts odd? Much skill required? I've got zero experience in doing things like this.
thanks.

They sell backlights. They are also on eBay. I bought a few of them in the past and they are ok.

But I have not changed the AN1x LCD yet. So I cannot tell if it's easy or not or if the problem is not the LCD per se.

Usually, it's pretty straightforward and you need not to be a rocket scientist to do it. And usually, 2 or 3 solder joints are required.

Hope that help
