I don't see 'em new anywhere.tallowwaters wrote:You might enjoy the VF-1 or EF-303 a bit moreStepLogik wrote:The Boss GT-8 has a lot of nice features, including a midi-syncable delay and tuner and the standard complement of effects. I don't like the pedal board format. anyone ever used one?

Re: FX for acidlab bassline?
I find them on craigs and ebay for 100-150 all the time. I have quite a few now, as I push them on all the people in the band so I can make patches during the week and load them up before practice. A bit of menu diving involved, but not complicated by any means.
Supposed to be a software editor that I have never found... (and I aint using f**k sounddiver)

On tallowwaters recommendation I picked up a VF-1. Going to tinker with it today.
Is there a software editor for this thing? If not, I could probably make one in Sound Quest.

They say there is a software editor, though I have yet to see it.StepLogik wrote:On tallowwaters recommendation I picked up a VF-1. Going to tinker with it today.

yeah i couldn't find a software editor on roland's international site.
i could probably make one but the VF-1 has a metric shitton of parameters. might just suck it up and use it from the front panel.

Been playing around with an EH Metal Muff to run my 303 through. THICK distortion, this is not a subtle pedal. Doesn't mask the 303's character if you keep the distortion low. the tone controls are a nice touch, you can reduce the bass to get the effected sound to sit in a mix better. on the 303 slides, it has a nice "ripping" sound per hardfloor's 303-thru-Rat-pedal sound.
noisy as h**l, you'll need a gate.
