HELP!!! I replaced my XP-50's power-regulator board yesterday with a brand new one, since my keyboard started switching itself off recently after only a few seconds. It seems that the 4-legged square-shaped BRIDGE RECTIFIER was blown.
Now only the screen lights up(though it's blank) as well as the buttons' LEDs. However I can't get any sound from the keyboard. How would I know whether my main-board has blown?????? If that is in fact what's happened, are there still main-boards available for the now 13year old XP series?

Re: Roland XP-50
To the best of my knowledge, I don't think that complete board are available (maybe on eBay, from another unit). And it's not always a garantee of success (the other board can have issues). Generally, just the defective parts are changed.
Seems like the guy didn't test after changing the bridge rectifier. It all need to be reverified. It's not all to change something, it's his job to make sure that the instrument is functional before giving it back to the customer.
