The Mopho is a subtractive synth. Subtractive synths work by running one or more oscillators which are rich in harmonics through a filter to remove some of the harmonics and end up with a sound which is hopefully good.Gamma Goblin wrote:Quick question... I just got my Mopho and wanted to know why it doesn't have the ability do produce a Sine Wave either in the oscillator or lfo parameters? It seems like such a simple thing for any synth to do, am I missing something or is this by design for some reason?
Sine waves have no harmonics so aren't that useful for subtractive synthesis. If you really want one you can get close with the triangle wave and a little filtering or by self-oscillating the filter in 4 pole mode.
