Busking

Post by tom Cadillac » Fri Oct 24, 2008 8:24 am

I' v never done this before - but am seriously contemplating starting and wanted advice over gear and busking tips. Currently I'v packed a casio sa10 - (smallkeyboartd uncool 100tone etc), and a mini kaos pad played through a pignose amp , into a very small rucksack and feel really mobile. I'll probably play electric thumb piano aswell. What I'd really like is a battery powered synth/sound module as I have a small battery powered midi keyboard, but does one exist? Any/ all advise appreciated.

This sounds crazy, but iv busked with a Casio VL-Tone outside my town's bus station. A friend was playing guitar and i was plonking away on the little VL-1. Oh the embarrasment.

Why not just get a microkorg? or the Novation Xio... they are probably the most versatile battery powered synth. Most other battery powered synth are mono synths...and analog (CS-01, MC-202, SH-101, Wasp, Gnat, Mini Synth, etc). Well, you could always go Yamaha DX100 or Casio CZ101 as well. Not much out there in module form that is battery powered.
