has anyone tried the boss vt-1?

i'm looking for a vocal processor, not a vocoder, because i don't want to be hitting keys while processing vocals. not really sure how many options i have, but came across the vt-1 on vse. has any one tried it? is it worth the money? i heard the samples that were posted, just wondering if anyone actually messed with it and enjoyed the results. looking to process vocals live over electronic/industrial style of music. thanks!

Listen to the knife's records, they use it for all of the vocal processing IIRC
No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.
