best piano sound

Post by nu-tellar » Thu Feb 19, 2009 4:31 am

ok, i have a korg m3 which i am happy with, but i play a yamaha cp30 and i really like the piano sounds.
yamaha also has a s90es i wonder would the piano sound on the s90es gets any close to it, is better the s90es because it has more sound and expansion. is there any other rompler that you guy recommends. i am only interested in the piano sound since i am taking piano lessons, and i want something as close to a grand piano as possible. i am on a budget.

I know I'll get some people set off, but those cheapo PCM keyboards have nice Piano sounds to them....

There is an update for the M3 you can download at the Korg site, it's supposed to contain a piano expansion or something like that.

If you don't like it, get a Motif XS or Nord Electro and you'll be pleased. There's a rack version of the Motif which you can find for cheap. And even older versions of the Motif have great pianos. Maybe even the S series [except for the S08].

yeah, i know i already upgrade it., but the piano sounds on the yamaha is so fun, and make me want to play the piano i really like it. i am pretty happy with my set up as long as keys go. but i don`t like the piano sounds on the M3. and yeah i will either get a motif xs or a rack be ok and i keep my midi controller, or first i have to get rid of my midi controller which i probably won`t get much. anyway how much a motif or and nord electro used go for.
