Sync Microkorg arpegiator w/ DDD1

Hey;
I bought a Microkorg to make my gear easier to set up. I'd love the arpegiator to work with my an oldschool Korg DDD1.
I have both manuals but i can't make them behave as master/slave.

DDD1 is:

Midi out cabled
Clock Internal
Midi Receive: Unavalaible
Midi Transmit : Available
Instrument data transmit: K=01 (kick drum = channel one)

DIP switch 4 (protect) is off.


Microkorg is:

Midi In cabled
Midi Channel : 1
Local On
Clock : External


My midi cable works, i can control the DDD1 with my Master Keyboard.

Looks like no tempo is received.
Do i do smthg wrong? Can't they work together?
Actually, it seems the instrument i select for data transmit is not kept in memory everytime i go back to Pattern.
I have no clue what to do.
Anybody?

The missing piece is whether or not the DDD-1 can send MIDI clock. What does the MIDI implementation chart say?

Clock is not channelized, so the channel settings don't matter.

Instrument data transmit would be used if you wanted the DDD-1 to play the kick drum part on an external device (like the MK). In your application you have no reason to use it.

Mmmm,
I tried the other way around, i.e controling the tempo of the DDD1 from the microkorg.
Set the DDD1 clock to "midi"... It doesn't work either.

Is it hopeless?
