Maybe should have gone in off topic? IDK.

I also live in an apartment. For about 8 months I had a downstairs neighbor who was completely intolerant of noise of any kind. Be this the sound of keyboards, my television, or even me walking around. (I tread lightly compared to my gf)
When I first moved in I had set all of my equipment up in the master bedroom. As I am a night-owl, I spent a good amount of time producing music in the evening. One night I was laying some lines down with my V-Synth (with headphones) and just the sound of the keys of my keyboard was enough for her to wake up and begin banging on her ceiling.
I had since moved all of my equipment into the living room where the acoustics blow. And she has moved out. Thank goodness :)

We have a ton of threads of this nature already, and most of those are actually comprehensible .
