Swedish synth/space pop: Adolphson & Falk

Post by Micke » Wed Jun 03, 2009 8:40 pm

Hi guys,

Any Scandinavians on here who like to listen to the classic Swedish synth/space-pop duo Adolphson & Falk?

I like them alot, especially their first two albums "Med Rymden i blodet" (1982) and "Över Tid och rum" (1984), the first of which was re-released in 1983
as "From Here To Eternity" with English lyrics. I also like Greg Fitzpatrick's synth-work on both albums.

I'd describe their music as very melodious, cozy and melancholic

Here are a few A&F songs that I like:

Blinkar Blå (featuring a gorgeous synth solo on Prophet 10):
YouTube - Adolphson & Falk - Blinkar blå

Mer Jul (note that the synths seen in this video were not used on the actual recording):
YouTube - Adolphson & Falk - Mer Jul

1-0-0-1-0 (Pro One, Prophet T8, Synton syntovox etc)
YouTube - Adolphson & Falk - 1-0-0-1-0 (HQ)

Krafter vi aldrig känner (Emulator I, Prophet 5 etc)
:YouTube - Adolphson & Falk - Krafter vi aldrig känner - fan video

Hav (lots of Prophet T8):
YouTube - Adolphson & Falk - Hav

Stockholmsserenad (lots of Emulator I and Prophet 5):

Comments are welcomed :)

A&F verkar inte ha allt för många fans här omkring i alla fall. Lite överraskande kanske.

Most of their stuff on Spotify is horribly cheesy acoustic guitar stuff. A pity. I hate the music selection on Spotify.
