I have been looking at the SE reflector, I had just forgotten the name of it haha

so going with 3 and 4, minus the increasingly irrelevant music part
Yeah, the guys from the Bad Brains were lurking around my house last night for that one...

I agree that the RNP is pretty colorless, but there is a multitude of ways to get some color in there via mics, eq, compression, distortion, amp simulation, delay, etc.
Brains can be used like a "stress ball," but only once.

I'd check out some of the other options around the same price range, the RNP is pretty good but it's too clean for my tastes. I reckon something with more colour (transformer colour in particular) would suit your stuff better.
Yeah, why haven't you considered the Auteur?

I've had a few friends tell me black lion gear is iffy in terms of relability and quality... so I'm staying away from them
No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.

if it does have any weight in your decision.
i never had a single problem ith both the auteur and the ADC for the 6 months i have them.
in fact it's one of these things that you wonder what was going on before you got them. with both unit in the chain, and not in need of more channels (also 8 pres from firepod) i realy don't have the need to upgrade from this.

leave your friends alone and listen for yourself the audio available on their site ;-)

cheers

Wow, I've never heard anything bad about them. From what I've heard, it is better than the FMR stuff.
