Alesis Ion Questions

Post by Neonlights84 » Fri Jul 03, 2009 12:20 am

I was trying to change the analog drift parameter, and I can not seem to find it. I checked the manual, and it states this is a global setting, but no where in the global menu do i actually see that parameter. Where is it!?

Secondly, as this was a used Ion, how do you initialize the machine and restore all factory presets?

And lastly, i recall reading that there is a combination of buttons you can press to light up all the LED's at once. Out of curiousity, does anyone know how to do that?

to initialize all presets, you'll need to download the original four "Red-Green-Blue-User" SysEx files from Alesis site, and over write the ones on your ION, using a MIDI dump program.

Now i have a question though, On the Alesis ION's mainboard. There is a button, that says Reset/Erase- next to it.
Im not daring enough to press it, in fear I might wipe the system or kill it LoL!
but seriously,
what dose this button do??
No where in the Owners / or Service manual talk about it :?

The drift parameter is in the voice section, not the master section.
"Sure that's fine in practice, but what about in theory?"
