It is ridiculous if:

(a) I can't afford it.
(b) it costs more than a mint Yugo.
(c) it causes me a serious case of GAS but in turn feeling like an a*s because I can't afford such fun.
(d) it causes my nether regions to tingle.

At the very least it makes for a shrinking number of people who only collect and don't play.
Never really applied to me. These days I collect condiments from Taco Bell and spend all my money on my house.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.

All I got from you post is "shrinking member".

That's what I get for staring at the iPhone to read posts.

You have a valid point. It's that or well funded musicians and I am neither.

Not that ridiculous [the BIN price seems high for me, but the last one in good cosmetic shape sold the same reserve price], but I got stuck on this:
Good luck bidding in this NO RESERVE AUCTION!
Comments: There will be no reserve so high bid takes it home

The thing is,there is only a "Buy it now" option!

I wanted to tell the seller his TOE weren't true, but he desactived the option to "ask the seller a question"...

Yeah, I know, but any question you ask ends up as "The seller has not provided answers for this item." Then when you click to try to contact him, you get an eBay sign:
We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.
There's a phone number in the listing, though. But I'm not in the USA, so I don't care that much...

if you're talking about this-

you then click "continue" and can send them a question.

if your quote is verbatim, maybe because you're outside USA...

Usually, I can ask them questions anyway. Just to make sure they don't mind shipping to Canada (75% of them agree when asked beforehand). That's the first time I got that weird eBay automated [non-]answer...

Seems like the going rate for synths these days are going up and up and up and up at an alarming rate lately. What gives?

people are getting more stupid?

Anyways, $1300 is by no means the "going rate"... looks like the average is about half that.
