Now all the silly small bids on the Juno 60 have disappeared! That's a lame strategy to check the maximum bid of someone else...

Now here's another one, which went for more than the average eBay price, or in local adds:

Not a big price in $, but the % is way over the value!
Available for sale:
-Chamber of Sounds Jupiter III (mk1) & Jupiter T (mk1)

The opening bid is ridiculous on its own, but the $5K Buy It Now is a serious WTF?

read the description, they've just done that so no one will buy it. they're wanting people to contact them about individual parts.

Clearly for some insane collector... Why even mention "tone"? Wouldn't you just buy a minimoog if you cared about tone, and, um... actual features?

Do you even post on vse bro?

I couldn't be bothered to contact him, so I flagged his dumbass for keyword spamming

guy has no idea whether or not anyone might want certain components of a synth, nor how much might be appropriate to ask for them, so he makes an ebay listing with an intentionally ridiculous price so no one will buy it & he'll have a way to get word out across the country. maybe it's an old guy who doesn't know of forums like this, or craigslist search engines or anything aside from ebay and the classified ads. even publicly sharing on there what parts he HAS sold AND how much for...

i know, i'm defending a stranger whose situation i'm just proposing (always played devil's advocate in philosophy classes). but c'mon...

That all may be so and I didn't flag it for the premise, I flagged it for keyword spamming, which always irks me. Last I checked, the poly800, poly-6 and poly-61 were not equivalents internally (or externally). Except maybe the joystick

More like $600 for the two, maybe $700.
