What should I invest in.

Post by PenalJester » Fri Aug 07, 2009 7:51 am

I'm having trouble deciding what I should invest my money in next to add to my collection. I already own a:

Korg R3 synth
Korg KP3 Kaoss pad
M-Audio Interface
ZOOM H2 (use it mainly for vocals and guitar and random sounds I sample)
2 condenser mics (i hardly ever use them)
And a terrible dell computer with Ableton live 7 installed.
I use a pretty good stereo system for my Moniters

The problem i have with my setup now is that my computer can hardly process any of the sounds that i make on my Synth. Whenever I play back what I recorded it sounds extremely chopped up like it went through some sort of terrible Nintendo 8-bit filter. I am looking at Investing my money into a Akai s1000(or newer) Sampler, but i feel like if i should save my money and wait to get a new Mac and some sort of midi controller for a sampler. Any suggestions on what i should buy to add to my setup?

What's the spec on your Dell? Sounds like it might need a re install and update, and more RAM.

besides the computer idea,

what do you want to do that you can't do with your current setup?
