JD800 direct out

what do the direct out sockets on the JD800 do?

In "Multi" mode, you can assign any multi-timbral part to main outs using built in effects or the "dry" direct outs. I seldom use my JD-800 and JD-990 in multi mode due to the limited polyphony and lack of additional effects such as distortion.
