Moog voyager performer edition vs rack.

Post by Mass-G » Wed Sep 30, 2009 3:59 pm

Moog voyager performer edition / Rack edition.
I´ve just been looking over the prices and considdering there is around £940 difference ($1513) i was wondering if its really worth the extra amount for a keyboard and touchpad (although it does look awesome).
So what do people think?

Well I think you would have to decide on the keyboard, and really with the touchpad, you're going to get different answers from different people. Best to try it out yourself. It's certainly nice to have it(think tiny ribbon controller you can route to most any destination on the synth) but I opted out and got the rack, myself.

The rack also doesn't have the oversized knobs or control voltage inputs. For the latter, it requires an expansion device.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.
