has anyone here owned one, or have experience playing one of these lightning sets? this s**t looks amazing! but is it more of a gimmic, or can it really perform like how it looks in the videos on youtube? is it worth the two grand?

They're controllers so I suppose it's down to what you're controlling. I don't doubt that vid is for real.

But...a couple of Wii controllers would be able to do the same thing, given the right software, and cost quite a bit less.
