The samples are the same files I believe, but the keyboard track is often routed to filter res or cutoff to make higher notes sound brighter...such is the case with choir presets, not sure about the flute. Also depends on HOW it is sampled.madtheory wrote:Are the variations different samples, or different modulations?JMP wrote: There's four or five variations of it, each allocated to one octave on the EII keyboard from memory.

Pretty sure they're different samples, played differently from each other.madtheory wrote:Are the variations different samples, or different modulations?JMP wrote: There's four or five variations of it, each allocated to one octave on the EII keyboard from memory.

Any possible way of having modern access to it without picking up the original disk and the Emulator II? Anywhere you're able to buy those samples and load them into a modern sampler?calyx93 wrote:It's indeed from the "Loon Garden" disk.

Need to speak to Hideaway Studio, he's done some nice conversions lately I believe......rharris07 wrote:Any possible way of having modern access to it without picking up the original disk and the Emulator II? Pretty much the entire E-Mu sample library can be purchased from Digital Sound Factory in a few different formats. Yes, Loon Garden is available from them.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.
